It’s happening!

It was the day after St Patrick’s Day and Janet was spending the day on a boat with some friends at Keewaydin. All day long, their boat was parked next to another boat with a (handsome 😉) guy and his dad and stepmom on it. The whole day went by without any interaction... until the end of the day when Mark’s dad broke out the selfie stick to take a family photo. Mark’s dad looked at the photo after and realized their gorgeous beach background had been photobombed by Janet and her friends. Of course they had to come over to meet their bombers and that was how it all began! It wasn’t until later that night when they all went back to land and met out for dinner and drinks, that they were actually able to get a word in to one another though and that is when they both noticed the spark!

We took a trip to Lake Tahoe and came home engaged! On the first night of vacation (Mark couldn’t wait any longer 😉), he found a perfect hiking spot and set up a picnic on the rocks to admire the lake and wait for sunset. As the sun went down behind the mountains, Mark got down on one knee and delivered the perfect proposal. And of course, Janet said yes! What more could you ask for... Hiking boots, a blanket, wine, cheese, a gorgeous view, love ... and a ring!

As you all know, it has been a journey to plan our wedding. Coronavirus made picking a date and finding a venue and narrowing the guest list a struggle. But in the end, we feel like this wedding will be very “us” and will be shared with most of our absolute favorite people!
