The most wonderful season of all!

Back in the chaotic fall semester of 2016 at UConn, Samantha and her bestie, Allie, quite literally stumbled into the Busby suite of a couple of nice guys. One of them (Daniel) left an impression. He welcomed them in, lent Allie his XXXL flannel, helped Samantha look for a lost dorm key for hours after a night out (it was in her pocket)… and was also the only one willing to entertain Samantha's idea of stealing a traffic cone. Daniel made such an impression that for years after, Samantha and Allie would say, “Whoever Dan Innes ends up with better be a sweetheart, because he has a heart of gold." Life moved on, and while they didn’t stay close, Samantha and Daniel never totally lost touch. They shared a few classes along the way, including Sociology of the Family and a couple Public Policy courses through UConn's School of Public Policy. Fast forward to early summer 2021, when Daniel reached out to Samantha, now living just down the street in Manchester, and asked her to grab pizza and a beer. That one day turned into long summer nights dancing at Elicit, full beach days, late night calls from Samantha asking Daniel for rides home from the bar, and camping trips that made it pretty clear something more was going on for Daniel...something everyone seemed to notice except Samantha. On August 1, 2021, Daniel took Samantha on their first "official" date, complete with a Jeep test drive, a few brewery stops, a cat café... All sealed with a late-night kiss by the Connecticut shoreline - A kiss that brought Samantha to tears! Since then, they’ve built a beautiful life together, blending their lives, their friends, and their families into one. They’ve grown in their careers, built a home they love, and created a life they’re proud of. Along the way, they’ve added Meeka and Quinn, and Daniel fully embraced cat fatherhood with Phineas and Oscar. At the end of the day, their favorite place to be is together, with their pets close by, who have their whole hearts. We feel incredibly blessed for the life we’ve built together, and even more grateful to be surrounded by the people who have supported us along the way. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you! WELCOME TO OUR WEDDING!
