Thomas and Emily both moved to Florida in 2018. Thomas moved from New Waterford, Ohio and Emily moved from Holbrook, New York on Long Island. 
Emily moved in with a few girls who happened to be Youngstown State University Alumni and who knew Thomas. One night Emily and her roommates threw a Fourth of July party to at which Emily and Thomas finally met. They ended up talking all night… mostly about how Thomas was missing his two front teeth but finding they enjoyed many of the same things.
Fast forward a few weeks and the two were inseperable.
