We met working at the Pacific Cookie Company in downtown Santa Cruz. What started as a work friendship bonding over sports and being two of the three people that liked country music in the store became a love that made its home in Phoenix where we have shared a plethora of accomplishments and memories together (including with our cat, Buster).

After secretive planning and telling everyone they knew, Max asked Jordan to marry him along the racetrack at Laguna Seca at the campsite that they share with her family every July for MotoAmerica. The intimate moment occurred while it was just the two of them (not including the sandwich Jordan was actively eating when it happened), adding another layer of value to a destination that has had deep meaning within the lives of both their families for over 35 years.
