We were supposed to be set up on a blind date by Turner’s roommate and Ingrid’s co-worker, Kim. Kim had shown Turner photos, but never gave him Ingrid’s number. One day Turner was in the Walnut Creek post office picking up his mail, when Ingrid burst in. She was mailing a mother’s day gift. Instead of building her shipping box at one of the tables, she grabbed a box and ran behind Turner in line. As Ingrid struggled to build her box, juggle her gifts, wallet, and phone, Turner looked over his shoulder and realized he knew her. He saw her last name on the package and asked if her name was Ingrid. Caught off guard, and a little in shock Ingrid said yes. Turner stumbled over his words, managing to get out that we were supposed to be set up by Kim. Just as Ingrid realized who he was Turner was called up in line. Two weeks went by before Turner got Ingrid’s number from Kim. Since our first date on May 17th 2013, we have been inseparable. We only found it fitting that we met in a post office and six years later we are being married in an old post office, turned restaurant. We can not wait to start the next part of our lives together.
