Under guise of a wilderness excursion as a late birthday activity for himself, Russell lured me into the mountains to pop the question. He picked the perfect spot over looking Spencer Glacier. It started with a bumpy helicopter ride over the Cook Inlet and Turnagain Arm to land in the mountains above Spencer Glacier. After Russell asked me to marry him (and I said "Yes!") we began a long hike down the mountain (thank you to guide Brianna) to the glacial lake where we were picked up by a raft (thanks to River for rowing). After floating around the lake and getting up close to the glacier we were dropped off at the opposite shore. From here, Russell and I hopped on the the Alaska Railroad train at the nearest whistle stop. After one short detour to check out the Grand View Whistle stop, the train returned us to Portage--happy, tired, cold and engaged. <3 Please enjoy some photos of the day: https://photos.app.goo.gl/viGpj9LyFawL2Wc79
