We first met in 2017 as students in Stellenbosch — Ingrid was a third-year student at ISA, and Gustav was a first-year student at IMM. We met at a braai and instantly clicked, and enjoyed each other's company. Life happened, paths changed, and we lost touch for a few years… thinking that chapter was closed. Five years later, fate clearly disagreed. We reconnected in the most unexpected place — in Stellenbosch’s Checkers store, right in front of the spinach shelf. What started as a surprised hello turned into catching up, a wine farm date, a lot of coffee, dinner and jogging dates, becoming best friends, endless laughter, and the realisation that we couldn’t imagine life without each other. Turns out, the timing was finally right — and the rest is our favourite love story yet.
