Austyn was friends with Indy's cousin Mitch Rasmussen and that is how they first met back in 2011. Austyn became a well loved family friend to the Rasmussen's. In fact Jerame and Cheryl Rasmussen liked him so much they called him their adopted son. Ironic huh? Indy and Austyn even got puppies that were siblings at one point in July of 2014 Austyn was invited to Rasmussen camp outs, grill outs, and even Indy's 18th birthday to Treasure Island. Austyn had a huge crush on Indy, but she just wasn't ready yet. They remained good friends through the years, they were so good that they were asked to be the maid of honor and best man in Dakota and Hunter Matzke's wedding. On August 10, 2017 Austyn, with the help of Indy's close cousin, Aric Stensgard, asked Indy out with a pinata that revealed a heart necklace with her favorite colored diamonds. They started renting a house in Witoka with Aric, October 1, 2017. Indy was in the stand with Austyn when he shot his first buck, in November 2017. They bought their first house together in Rushford MN, July 13, 2018. Austyn proposed the first night in their house together around 2:30 a.m. on July 14, 2018. Our friendship began with riding four wheelers, sitting around campfires, and bridge jumping into the creek. Back then we didn't think that we would end up like this, but now we couldn't see it any other way! We choose to say our vows just outside Lewiston, Mn where our friendship first began.
