Chris and Indigo met via a mutual friend in the summer of 2021 and there was instant chemistry. Both true Oregonians (meaning native Californians), Chris and Indigo quickly bonded over their love of the outdoors, sports, and their particular fondness of Jim Carrey’s The Grinch. It wasn’t long before they were officially dating and looking to spend as much time with each other as possible. 2021’s A Very COVID Christmas brought them even closer when Indigo had to quarantine with Chris’ family for almost two weeks. Thankfully both Indigo and Chris have always been welcomed by each other’s families and after less than a year of dating, it felt like they had known each other a lifetime. In the coming years, Chris and Indigo grew as a couple. They moved into an apartment together in Portland’s Goose Hollow neighborhood where they would walk to every Portland Timbers soccer game. They would grow in their respective career paths and share all the ups and downs of life. They would indulge their shared love of traveling, visiting Italy, Hawaii, New Mexico, New York, Colorado, and South Korea. But their most memorable trip came in the Summer of 2024. Embarking on a 21 day road trip through the Pacific Northwest, Canadian and American Rockies, and back to Oregon, Chris and Indigo visited 6 national parks including Jasper, Banff, Glacier, and Yellowstone. It was in Banff, on the lightning blue waters of Lake Louise (and in a surprisingly stable inflatable kayak) where Chris got down on one knee and popped the question! After weeks of campfire meals they celebrated with a romantic dinner in town and shared the news with all of their loved ones. After 4 years together, Chris and Indigo are so excited to officially tie the knot and take the next step in their incredible journey. We can’t wait to celebrate with all of our friends and family.
