On December 10, 2023, their story began in Detroit at an Afro-Caribbean night, introduced through the groom’s sister. Though brief at first, their connection grew when they crossed paths again a few months later at the Toledo Movement church. After dinner with the groom’s family at Texas Roadhouse, he asked her on their first date—to the movies to see “House Party”. Over time, their relationship unfolded through intentional dates, including going to the Peach Cobbler Factory (a nod to the bride’s Georgia roots), food adventures, go-karting, and an escape room. Distance soon became part of their journey as career opportunities took them to different cities, but commitment kept them connected. When the bride moved to Spring Hill, Tennessee for work, the groom followed three months later. Nine months after building a life together in Tennessee, he proposed on August 31, 2025, surrounded by the bride and groom’s families—turning a chance meeting into a forever love story.
