Gunnar and I met through a mutual friend early in our sophomore year of high school. But it wasn’t until late that summer that we became anything more than acquaintances. August 4th, after a day spent together ice skating, he became my boyfriend! Despite the ups and downs of high school, we managed to weather through the storm together. We endured 3 years of long distance while Gunnar followed his future to Texas A&M and I followed mine to Texas State! As soon as I could manage, I moved to College Station after graduating to be with Gunnar while he finished his degree. To my surprise, Gunnar proposed just a month after completing his Bachelor’s degree and I could not have said yes fast enough! While we eagerly await our special day, Gunnar will be working to become part of H-E-B’s upper management and I will be finishing my professional degree and taking my licensure exam to become a physical therapist assistant, all while we try to be the best parents to our puppy Charli! We are more than excited for our coming future and hope that y’all are just as excited to celebrate with us! P.S. By the time we say “I do” we will have been together for a whole 8 years!
Well, when this all started, we were so excited to plan our wedding! With more than a year of being engaged, we thought we had plenty of time to plan without stressing while we both worked and I finished school. However, then a global pandemic happened and the whole time we haven't known how it would affect our big day, and it has added A LOT of stress! We decided that regardless of how everything works out, we are still getting married on our wedding date, even if that means we have to shorten the party as it gets closer... but we are hoping so badly that everything works out as we planned and everyone that is important to us can be there to help us celebrate!
