Travel to Cluj-Napoca
Nestled in the heart of Transylvania, Cluj-Napoca is a vibrant university city with a beautiful historic center, lively cafés, and a rich cultural life. We are delighted to celebrate our wedding here and hope you will enjoy discovering the city as much as we do.
By Air
The easiest way to reach Cluj is via Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport (CLJ), about 15–20 minutes from the city center. The airport has regular flights from many European hubs including London, Munich, Vienna, Barcelona, Milan, Brussels, and Istanbul. From the airport, the center can be reached quickly by taxi, Uber, or Bolt.
By Car
Driving is also a pleasant option: Budapest ~4–5 hours, Vienna ~7 hours, Bucharest ~6–7 hours.
By Train
While trains reach Cluj from several cities, journeys are often long with multiple transfers. For most guests, flying or driving is the easiest option.
Travel Note
From Ceremony to Celebration
Our wedding ceremony will take place at the magnificent St. Michael's Church, located in the beautiful Piața Unirii, the historic heart of Cluj-Napoca. Following the ceremony, we invite you to continue the celebration at La Foret, an elegant venue set just outside the city in the nearby town of Florești. The journey from the church to the reception venue is approximately 15–20 minutes by car. Taxis and ride-sharing services such as Uber and Bolt are widely available throughout the city and offer the easiest way to travel between the locations. After the ceremony concludes at 2:00 pm, guests will have ample time to make their way to the reception venue, where the festivities will continue.
