Q&A

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are kindly asking for an unplugged ceremony. This simply means that the bride and groom request that you put your phones, cameras, and other technology away for the ceremony. This way, you can live in the moment and enjoy the ceremony without any distractions! Phones and electronics are welcomed at the start of cocktail hour and throughout the duration of the reception!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We are requesting formal / semi formal attire, and we kindly ask that guests both male and female refrain from wearing light blue, white, cream, beige or any similar shades that could be mistaken for white. Thank you in advance! Please note that our wedding will take place on uneven terrain such as grass, sand, and a wooden deck — please choose appropriate footwear for your safety! For women, we highly recommend block heels as the ceremony will be on the grass and we don’t want anyone sinking into the ground.

Question

Can I bring a guest / date?

Answer

Due to limited capacity, we can only allow the people named on your invitation. We unfortunately cannot accommodate additional guests. Thanks for understanding!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we adore your little ones, we appreciate you understanding that our special day will be adults only, with the exception of children in our immediate families. We encourage you to use this evening as a “date night.”

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony / reception?

Answer

Yes! There is plenty of parking on premise for guests choosing to drive. However, if you plan on having drinks, we encourage you to use ride-sharing services like Uber or Lyft for a safe and enjoyable time. We want everyone to have a safe journey home!

Question

Is it indoor or outdoor? What will the weather be like?

Answer

Our ceremony will take place outdoors on the lawn, the cocktail hour will also be outdoors on the lower deck, and the reception will be in an enclosed tent on the top deck. Long Island in October is beautiful, so we are hoping for sunny and warm weather. If you get cold easily, consider bringing a sweater or a shawl as it can get chillier at night.
