Kasaan and I were introduced to each other by our mutual friend Joran through a Facetime call. Later on the last day of class sophomore year, we both ran into each other at the Chic fil A in the student center. We remembered each other from the phone call and began talking about our summer plans. Kasaan had details about a pool party that was occurring off campus, and I wanted the details. We exchanged numbers and then went about our day. It was not until weeks later, when we both separately hung out with our mutual friend Joran that Kasaan actually texted me after being given the tip to him from Joran that I was interested. We went on dates that summer, and then Kasaan had an internship in Detroit which caused us to be long distance. That made our connection even stronger by simply talking on the phone and getting to know each other everyday. We began officially dating later in the fall when we were back at A&T. People ask us all the time if we knew each other, being that we both grew up in Charlotte and would hang in similar circles. But we did not offically meet until we got to A&T. Shoutout to A&T for giving us our Aggie Love Story!
Kasaan won Fiance of the year with his proposal! The Summer of 2025 was my family's 50th Annual Beach Trip, which is a tradition that mimics a family reunion. For decades, my family always comes together the week of 4th of July to go to Myrtle Beach. It is a special time for all of us, and as a collective we look forward to it every single year.
