Our story began long before we even realized it. In 2017, fate quietly started shaping our future. One of Imani’s closest friends was dating Antione’s twin brother, and she just knew the two of us had to meet. One day, she pressed us to meet and was finally able to introduce us. Antione came outside, shook Imani’s hand, and we exchanged a few words. Nothing more happened then, but a small spark had been lit—even if we didn’t see it yet. Imani would come over whenever her friend was in town, and every time she did, Antione’s mom would ask about her. She’d ask her friend, and she’d ask Antione too. Looking back, it feels like everyone saw something between us before we saw it ourselves. In 2021, life brought us back together in the most natural way. Imani and her friend took their daughters swimming and included Antione’s daughter. At the end of the day, Imani dropped her off to her dad, and once again, we exchanged words—this time adding each other on Snapchat. What started as simple messages turned into conversations, compliments, laughs, and little moments of connection every time we saw each other. Eventually, in 2022 Antione asked Imani on a date. That first date set the tone for everything that came after. Antione picked Imani up, and the car ride alone was fun playing a date‑night card game, asking each other questions, learning each other in a way that felt easy and genuine. We went to play pool, ending the night with one of our favorite comfort meals: wings from WNB Factory. By the end of that date, the vibe and connection were undeniable. After a year of building a friendship and a bond that felt natural, we officially began dating in 2023. From there, everything began to grow. More dates. More fun. Deep conversations. An indescribable connection. Our daughters bonded with each other so beautifully, and we loved each other’s children like our own. They loved being around us, and together we slowly became one family. That journey led us to where we are now—raising four daughters together, growing closer in friendship and love every day. We feel like best friends and soulmates, still dancing in the kitchen, cooking together, laughing, learning, and living life side by side. And now, we’re ready to celebrate this chapter with the people we love most—our family and closest friends—grateful for every moment that brought us here and excited for everything that comes next. - A&I
