If you only do one thing while you stop in Bangor, it must be the Stephen King tour! We've taken this tour many times, and every time we see or learn something new. Even if you aren't a huge Stephen King nerd, this is a great tour to learn about the history of Bangor and the impact the King's have had on the town. And if you are a big Stephen King fan... welcome to Derry! If you decide to take the tour tell Jaime that Michael & Nicole sent you!
Mason's is our favorite brewery in the area! They have great beers and food and a wonderful location on the river. If you're just going to be passing through Bangor, make a stop there for lunch!
There are a lot of breweries in the Bangor areas, but 2 Feet is always a must stop for us!
If you're a fan of antiquing, the Antique Marketplace in Bangor is a must stop!
Acadia National Park is a must stop if you're in the area. Some of our favorite hikes are the Beehive, Cadillac Mountain, and Great Head (just to name a few). It's also a great place to just take a drive and stop to see the sights as well! *Note: Entering the park requires an Entrance Pass, so make sure you either pre-buy a pass or buy one at one of the entrance points (not every entrance has one of these stops so make sure you plan ahead).
We've done multiple types of tours through Bar Harbor Watch Co including whale watching, nature cruises, and sunset happy hour cruises and we always have a great time!
There are so many great restaurant options in Bar Harbor, below are our favorites: - Geddy's - Stewman's Lobster Pound - Galyn's Restaurant - Paddy's Irish Pub
If you're looking for a place to get a beer you can't go wrong with any of these... and will probably run into the happy couple at some point! - Fogtown Brewing Company - Atlantic Brewing
