Things To Do

National Museum of Civil War Medicine

48 East Patrick Street, Frederick, MD 21701

It's an interesting way to spend an afternoon! The museum involves a self-guided tour that takes approximately 2 hours.

Attaboy Beer

400 Sagner Avenue, Frederick, MD 21701

Great spot to quench an afternoon thirst! They have indoor and patio seating. Typical brewery setting that usually has a food truck on-site if you get hungry.

Cunningham Falls State Park

14274 William Houck Drive, Thurmont, MD 21788

One of our favorite parks, possibly a little biased because Emma used to work here after college. The Houck area of the park has a lake where you can swim and picnic but before heading out, be sure to stop by the Manor area of the park to see an aviary with AMAZING non-releasable birds of prey, including a bald eagle named Teddy!

Monocacy National Battlefield

5201 Urbana Pike, Frederick, MD 21704

Lots to do for the history buffs! The Frederick area was home to some key battles in the Civil War, both Antietam and Monocacy battlefields are great for learning about some of this Civil War history or just to walk around!

Antietam National Battlefield

302 East Main Street, Sharpsburg, MD 21782

Lots to do for the history buffs! The Frederick area was home to some key battles in the Civil War, both Antietam and Monocacy battlefields are great for learning about some of this Civil War history or just to walk around!

Gettysburg

Gettysburg, PA 17325

Great place to spend an afternoon! Lots of places to eat with a very historic background. You can always catch a ghost tour at night! Boo!

For all the days along the way
