Coastal Maine is a beautiful place to explore! We have listed some great things to see and do close to the Boothbay Harbor area but if you have some extra time definitely check out the nearby towns. On route 1 from Boston once you get into Maine you'll go through cute coastal towns including Kittery, Ogunquit, Kennebunkport, Old Orchard Beach, Cape Elizabeth, Portland, Brunswick, Wiscasset and then if you want to go north of Boothbay drive over to Rockland, Rockport, and Camden!

Known as “The Boating Capital of New England,” Boothbay Harbor boasts the largest boating harbor north of Boston & offers numerous boat trips during the boating season to nearby islands, along the shoreline, and in quiet river waters. During your stay in Boothbay for wedding celebrations, we hope you are able to enjoy even more amazing views by boat. Downtown Boothbay Harbor

This is a quintessential seaside town in Maine filled with shops, galleries, restaurants, and lobster boats. It's only about a 15 minute drive from Newagen and definitely worth exploring.

It may get crowded but everyone needs a lobster roll when in Maine (for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks) and this one is quite popular. You might want to check this place out on your way to the venue or on your way home since it's about 30 minutes from the venue.
