“WE’RE GETTING MARRIED!”

THE PROPOSAL: GRAB SOME SNACKS BECAUSE YOURE IN FOR A RIDE! Ilse: So my day started out getting ready to go meet his “aunts.” I didn’t know this at the time but my mom was in on it to. So as I was getting ready, my mom comes in the room and tells me to change. I was like why I’m just meeting his aunts briefly and dropping off this box. My mom was super persistent and told me to change because I’m meeting his family and I have to dress to Impress. I sulked for a long time and I was like you know what fine. We are going to Dallas I at least have to try. So I got myself dolled up, and we were on our way to meet his “aunts” and drop off the box. I kept asking about the box and he said he didn’t know, his mom just told him to deliver it. And I’m like she could’ve shipped it. ( lol I’m so funny.) Anyways I decided to sleep on our way there and I woke up at a mall. I asked him oh is this where we are meeting them? He said no, I just needed to stretch my legs and I thought you could to. So we walked around the mall and I told him we couldn’t show up empty handed. So we browsed stores but we came out empty-handed because nothing caught my eye that said this is aunt worthy. After that he receives a text from his “aunt” and we were our way to the destination. We arrived at the Dallas Botanical Garden. We in and instantly I was awed by the beautiful scenery laid in front of me. Anyways, we walked the trail for a long time, there was photographers here and there taking picture of newlyweds and quinceañeras. REMEMBER those SANDALS my mom made me wear to impress. YEAH THEY WERE CUTE BUT OH MY GOODNESS MY POOR FEET. I needed to rest, so we stopped at the little cafe located at the garden. Oh I forgot to mentioned I was carrying the box for the whole time. So when Pablo went to the bathroom. I may have gotten a little curious. So I started shaking the box. Inspecting it if you will. I was about to take a peek when suddenly I receive a messaged from Pablo saying “DONT OPEN IT OR I WILL TELL MY MOM.” WE I TELL YOU I PANICKED I WAS LIKE WHO, WHAT, WHEN, HOW. I was so confused on how he spotted me. So I left the box alone because I didn’t want my soon-to be mother in law know nosy. Then he gets a message from his “aunt” once again saying to meet him at the starting point of the trail. I was annoyed at this point because my feet were hurting so bad I was like tell her not to move from that spot. We went and as we were going, I made the comment “ wow I really have no spatial awareness because I’m just so focused on like the scenery that somebody can snatch me that’s how unaware I am.” I was right because I didn’t notice till later but my friend was taking our pictures secretly. We reach our destination and as we waited we noticed there was a wedding rehearsal going on. They’re stepped away from this beautiful arched looking area and Pablo leads me to it. He starts by saying that everything was a lie that we weren’t here for his aunts but for me. I WAS CONFUSED. He started saying some sweet things and to open the box. And I’m like what’s in the box? He was like open it. AS SOON AS I WAS GOING TO OPEN IT…he thought quickly and said it’s a gift for your new job. Then came something unexpected. Remember that bridal party? Yeah the groom and the wedding planner approached and basically asked him how long it was going to be? And Pablo demeanor changed. I was like it’s okay they were rehearsing anyways. We walked to a different area and I started realizing what was going on. Tears start coming down and I see him kinda getting on one knee as I open the box finally. And said yes. I was like was this what you were trying to do earlier and he was like yes. And I’m like laughing it off because this would happen to us. See we are a loving and caring couple but we are also very very clumsy. So even though to him it wasn’t the way he wanted to go I think it was perfect.
