To the Moon and back

One day in 2018 Noellia had been at a Starbucks in her college with her friend Vienna when she decided to mention to her that she needed a Summer job. It was at that moment that Vienna suggested that Noellia should work with her at her summer job at Splish Splash Water Park on Long Island. Before Noellia could even finish her drink, Vienna had texted the hiring manager and without an interview got her the job. Little did Noellia know this would be where she would meet her future husband. From the moment Noellia had met Sean she was suspicious that he was flirting with her. This would be confirmed years later but sadly the flirting did not go anywhere and they would both go their separate ways that Fall. But lucky for them both they decided to return to the same Summer job the next year (Sean begrudgingly so). This time, the connection between them was undeniable. Now that both Noellia and Sean were in positions of management they had much more time to talk on the job. They spent countless hours talking about their families, school and hobbies while running the H2GO booth for days on end. Simple gestures of friendship from Sean such as driving Noellia to her car, buying her coffee in the morning and taking his lunch at the same time began their love story. Their first date had become a topic of debate amongst the couple. One day after work Sean had asked Noellia if she could accompany him to the outlets to help him pick out an outfit for his upcoming trip to Saratoga Springs where upon arrival Noellia (and Sean) were shocked to run into Sean's entire family. To finish off the night Sean offered to take Noellia to her first "all you can eat" sushi restaurant. At the time, neither of them were sure if it was really a “date” or just two friends hanging out until a week later, over some frozen yogurt, Sean took the initiative and asked "... is this a date?" and the rest is history. Three months into the relationship, Sean and Noellia took a weekend trip to Toronto, and that’s when Noellia knew she had found someone special. It was there that she realized she could spend endless hours with Sean, without ever getting bored of him. The time they spent together felt effortless and natural, and she knew that this was someone she could see a future with. From there, the relationship blossomed as they traveled and explored new places together such as dog sledding in Lake Placid, a quick getaway to Rhode Island, and countless weekends skiing in Pennsylvania as well as one failed trip to Vermont that was later made up a year later and most recently a week long trip to El Salvador to meet Noellia's family and receive their blessing. After five years of dating, Sean knew it was time to take the next step. On a warm August evening, at Planting Fields Arboretum Sean asked Noellia to marry him in a field of Dahlias and of course Noellia said yes. She couldn't possibly say no to the man who just scraped his knee on gravel to ask for her hand.
