We met after many visits to the Celtic Ray where Nick worked, one of the only places Kenzie knew in town after her recent move from Michigan. Over time we became close friends and soon after that became so much more. After a tip from a friend that Nick was interested (Kenzie was SO clueless), we went on our first date at the Celtic Ray September 20, 2015...and the rest is history.
Ever since my first time skydiving, Nick and I talked about how cool it would be to jump at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral. I wanted to do something special for Nick's birthday (May 5), so after tons of research and preparation, I surprised him with an 18,000 foot VIP tandem jump (the highest tandem jump you can do in the world). He was THRILLED! Fast forward to June 22nd, alongside our dear friend Gary, we headed to the East coast to tour the Space Center. Bright and early the next morning we were off to Sky Dive Space Center! Upon our check-in the guys informed me that there was a mix up and Gary was placed in a different group so they had to go work out the kinks. Lies. We get everything all 'sorted out' and board the plane. After an exhilarating (and noticeably long) soar through the sky, Uwe, my tandem jumper, landed me perfectly on a banner that read 'Will You Marry Me?'. I got as far as 'Will You...' before I realized what was happening and saw Nick to my left on one knee and beaming with joy. Of course I said YES! I can't wait to soar through life with my best friend, and we can't wait to share our special day with all of you here in sunny Florida!
