I met Bri back in 2014 when we started the OTA program. I thought she was hilarious and remember wanting to be her friend, so I stole someone's seat half way through the first semester to sit next to her. We have literally been best friends from that day on. We did everything together. A few semester's later I told her I caught feelings for her...and got friend zoned. It wasn't until 2017 where she realized too that we we're supposed to be together. We ended up going on a date to STK in Disney Springs, where I asked her to be my girlfriend as she stuck an entire spoonful of mac & cheese in her mouth.
Luis and I had talked about getting engaged by the end of 2019, so I thought I had it all figured out.. he'd propose in July on our family trip to Tennessee. So, you could see my surprise when it happened a month before that. I was caught way off guard, which was absolutely perfect. On June 1st, Luis set up brunch (our favorite) at a restaurant in Winter Park. Luis told me that he would meet me and my friends there, because he had to work. I, of course, believed him. I was told that the reservation was at 11:00 am, and we were running behind when my friends convinced me to stop in the rose garden before brunch to take some quick pictures. I pictured Luis sitting alone waiting for us at the restaurant, so I was rushing to the rose garden! As we got closer, I had no clue what was going on until I came around a big tree and saw a photographer capturing pictures of me. Luis was in fact waiting for us... just on a bench in the rose garden with pictures of us, flowers, and a ring! With my jaw dropped I walked up to him... and well you know the rest. After I said yes, a bunch of our friends and family came out of the wood works. I had no idea they were there because I was so fixated on Luis once I came around the tree. Apparently, they were all hiding behind trees and newspapers the entire time!
