It all started in Calculus class at Millersville University. We got together with some classmates for study groups and on the last day of the semester we went on our first official date, December 17th the day before my birthday. We kept in touch over the winter break and Don traveled all the way to Philly for our 2nd date. When we were back to school in January for the next semester, it was on Don's birthday (Jan. 22) before we went to meet friends for dinner, we made our relationship official!

Don popped the question while we were on vacation visiting Ireland. Before we left for the trip, we bought our house and moved in. He did so good hiding the ring from me through all the packing and moving to the house and then packing again for the trip and for another nine days into the trip. On the day of the proposal, we traveled to Killarney National Park. We checked into our hotel and rented bicycles to take on the trails of the park and experience some beautiful views. We veered off the trail and found a beachy area overlooking a lake and some extravagant mountains. It was breathtaking and we were so surprised there was no one around. Don did not have an exact plan for the proposal, but he thought the park was where he wanted to do it, so he brought the ring with him on our bike ride. That quiet spot was just it and that was where I said YES!

We will be headed to a private island called Fowl Cay, located in the Exumas of the Bahamas!!! Caribbean here we come!! The Exumas is a chain of small islands below the Bahamas mainland. Our villa is beach front, surrounded by beautiful clear blue water. We are so excited to go relax at Fowl Cay, but we will also do a lot of adventuring as well. We will have our own boat to travel around and explore all the surrounding islands, do some scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking and more. At the end of the week, we will definitely be sad to end our stay at Fowl Cay, but that won't be the end of the Honeymoon just yet. Since we will layover in Florida, we decided why not stop by Disney World for a few days on the way home!? We have always wanted to see Disney decorated for Christmas and this will be the perfect opportunity!
