Just a few hours away, Yosemite National Park is one of California’s most breathtaking natural destinations, known for its towering granite cliffs, giant sequoia trees, and stunning waterfalls. Guests can explore scenic viewpoints, hike beautiful trails, or simply take in the incredible views of Yosemite Valley. If you’re looking to extend your trip, we highly recommend visiting!
San Francisco is a vibrant city full of iconic sights, stunning views, and unique neighborhoods. From the majestic Golden Gate Bridge to the historic cable cars, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. For a memorable visit, we highly recommend exploring Alcatraz Island, strolling along Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39, taking in the colorful Painted Ladies, and enjoying the lively streets of Chinatown. Tahoe is really special to Sean and me! We spend winters snowboarding together and love visiting in the summer too. It’s, in our opinion, the most beautiful lake in the world (though I might be a little biased), and October is a perfect time to experience it. About a 3-hour drive from Lodi, Lake Tahoe is a stunning alpine destination with crystal-clear waters and breathtaking mountain views. Guests can hike, kayak, or simply relax on the sandy beaches. North Lake Tahoe has charming, family-friendly towns like Tahoe City, with cute downtowns and great restaurants along the lake. South Lake Tahoe, on the other hand, is known for its high-end casinos and lively nightlife—something for everyone!
Just a short drive—about 2.5 hours—from Lodi, Napa Valley is a world-famous wine region with rolling vineyards and charming wineries. Guests can enjoy wine tastings, scenic drives, and farm-to-table dining. We highly recommend visiting a few wineries, exploring St. Helena, or taking in the views on a hot air balloon ride. It’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the California countryside before or after the wedding weekend.
Big Sur is a stunning stretch of California coastline, about a 3.5–4 hour drive from Lodi, known for its dramatic cliffs, rugged beaches, and breathtaking ocean views. Guests can drive along the scenic Pacific Coast Highway, hike to waterfalls like McWay Falls, or stop at iconic spots such as Bixby Bridge for unforgettable photos. I highly recommend eating at Nepenthe - it's a great vibe and has ICONIC views!
For guests looking to enjoy the California coast during the wedding weekend, we highly recommend visiting Monterey, Santa Cruz, or Capitola. Monterey is famous for its scenic coastline and charming Cannery Row, with family-friendly beaches and the incredible Monterey Bay Aquarium. Santa Cruz offers a lively beach experience with its classic Boardwalk, surf culture, and fun shops for all ages. And Capitola is a quaint, colorful town with a picturesque beachfront, charming village streets, and a laid-back vibe perfect for strolling, relaxing, or enjoying the ocean views!
