Our Story...Our Story...

July 28th, 2007

That day, two kids crossed paths for the first time at Jordan’s summer bridge graduation. We didn’t know it then, but life had quietly started writing our story. We went on to start sixth grade together, growing up side by side until we graduated high school. Through the years, we shared classrooms, hallways, friends, and the kind of quiet familiarity that only time can create. After high school, life took us in different directions, but somehow we never completely lost touch. We’d check in through social media, through mutual friends, through small reminders that the other still existed somewhere out there. And then, as if God Himself decided to weave our paths together again, we both moved to the DMV area in 2019. This time, the timing was right. What started as reconnection turned into something that felt both brand new and deeply familiar. We became each other’s safe space in a world that suddenly felt so big and uncertain. In each other, we found home — the kind that doesn’t depend on a place, but a person. Our love grew quietly, naturally, and with an ease that can only come from something meant to be. As life began to shift, through transitions, challenges, and moments that tested us, we learned what partnership truly means. Through every storm and every change, we saw how steady God’s hand was over our relationship. Those seasons of growth didn’t just bring us closer; they revealed the strength, grace, and faith that had been guiding us all along. So when we decided to get married, it didn’t feel like a single moment or a grand event, it felt like the natural continuation of something God started years ago. A promise fulfilled. A circle completed. Now, as we step into this next chapter, we look back with full hearts in awe of how far we’ve come, grateful for every twist of fate that brought us here, and overwhelmed by the love that’s carried us through it all.
