Look. Everyone dates on their phones now. It's a societal problem, not an 'us' problem. We're not shy to say that we swiped right. Well, technically Ilan swiped up, which is this thing you get to do once a day when you 'Super Like' someone. Ilan 'Super Liked' Tori, and Tori had a self-imposed rule that she would at least 'Like' anyone who 'Super Liked' her. Just seemed rude not to. Ilan won Tori over text with his famous wit and banter; then he sealed the deal for a date when he CALLED HER ON THE PHONE (for all you Boomers out there, this is a modern day equivalent to a surprise summer evening serenade in the lawn outside your window). The date happened spontaneously one day earlier than planned because these two just couldn't wait to meet, all so that Tori could promptly finish her beer and say she was going home. Tori just wasn't feeling it. Was Ilan? "Big time". This was the first time Ilan said "Big time" to Tori and he was going to say it 1,567,325 times more before they got engaged. Long story short, Tori was wrong and Ilan was right. They ended up dating, and are now engaged to spend their lives together. This is the only recorded time in history that Ilan was right over Tori. The moral of our story is that Louie is the best dog ever, Max is the handsomest kitty, and dating apps work if you let them. And that old line from When Harry Met Sally: "When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with someone, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible." May 2018, here we come!
