Shuttles to the Wedding

September 9, 2022 4:15 pm - 4:30 pm

We've chartered two coach buses: Bus 1 will depart from Courtyard Marriott Fishkill at 4:30PM, and then Hilton Garden Inn at 4:35PM. (These hotels are next door to each other.) Bus 2 will depart from the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Fishkill at 4:35PM. It is about a 20-minute ride to The Garrison. If you are not staying at the above hotels and wish to take the shuttle, just let us know so we can ensure there are enough seats. Post-reception, both buses will drop guests back off at the three hotels. The after party will be at the SpringHill Suites.

If you would prefer to stay in an Airbnb, VRBO, etc., your best bet is looking for stays in Cold Spring, NY (about 10 minutes to The Garrison) or Beacon, NY (more nightlife, about 20 minutes to The Garrison). Airports

Stewart International Airport (SWF) in New Windsor, NY: About a 25-minute drive to Fishkill, NY, where our hotel room blocks will be. LaGuardia (LGA) or Kennedy (JFK) in Queens, NY or Newark Airport (EWR) in Newark, NJ: For those who might want to spend some time in New York City before or after our wedding. To get to the Fishkill hotels, consider renting a car and driving (about a 1.5-2 hour drive from the airports, with JFK being the furthest). Alternatively, Fishkill can be easily reached via the Metro North commuter rail service from Grand Central Station in Manhattan (a 75-90 minute ride on the 'Hudson Line'). See the "Train" section for more details. Westchester County Airport (HPN) in White Plains, NY: About a one-hour drive to Fishkill. Consider renting a car. This is a smaller airport which may have less flights and car rental options.

The Garrison and surrounding towns are all 75-90 min. rides from NYC using the Metro North rail service. The 'Hudson Line' departs from Grand Central Station in Manhattan (E 42nd St & Park Ave) every hour or less. One-way fares are $20-$23 for peak hours or $15-$17.50 for off-peak. Getting to Fishkill or Beacon: Take the Metro North Hudson Line to Beacon Station. To get to Fishkill, take an Uber, Lyft, or taxi (about 10-15 min.). Cold Spring: Take the Metro North Hudson Line to Cold Spring Station. Directly to the venue: Take the Metro North Hudson Line to Garrison Station and an Uber, Lyft, or taxi 5 min. to The Garrison. The Hudson Line travels directly along the Hudson River and offers views of the river and Palisades cliffs once you get out of NYC. Sit on the left side of the train car for the best views. FYI: Google Maps works for public transit in NYC (subways, buses, Metro North). The last return train to NYC leaves around 11pm per current Metro North schedules.

Driving to the venue (from north)

From Fishkill hotels: Take Rte. 9 South for about 11 mi. Main entrance for the Garrison will be on your right. From Newburgh, NY: Take Rte. 84 East over the Newburgh Beacon Bridge to Exit 13 South (Peekskill). Turn right onto Rte. 9 South and travel 10 mi. Main entrance for the Garrison is on the right.

Driving to the venue (from south)

From NJ side (via Palisades Pkwy): Take Palisades Pkwy North to the end through roundabout. Cross Bear Mtn. Bridge and make left onto Rte. 90 North. Travel about 5 mi. After the Post Office (on left), turn right onto Snake Hill Rd. The Garrison's side entrance is ~1.5 mi. on the left. From NYC (via Saw Mill River Pkwy): Take the West Side Hwy to Henry Hudson Pkwy North, to Saw Mill River Pkwy North. Take Exit 26 onto the Taconic State Pkwy North only for about a mile. Take exit Rte. 9A/100 North. After several miles, Rte. 9A merges with Rte. 9 North; continue on Rte. 9 North following signs for Poughkeepsie (watch signs as Rte. 9 turns left at one light). At traffic light at Rte. 403 (Shell station on left), continue straight on Rte. 9 North. Main entrance is ~2.5 mi. on left. From LI: Take Hutchinson River Pkwy North to Cross County Pkwy West to Sprain Brook Pkwy North. This becomes Taconic State Pkwy North. Take exit Rte. 9A/100 North and follow the rest of the directions above.
