In late July of 2018, Ilana was back in Atlanta after a busy summer of traveling. Meanwhile, as Yonatan boarded his flight in San Francisco to move across the country, he updated his location to Atlanta in the popular dating app Coffee Meets Bagel. By the time he landed in Atlanta, he and Ilana had matched! They had their first date two days later on Saturday, July 28th, 2018 at their soon-to-be favorite brewery Torched Hop in midtown Atlanta. After two years of exploring all the great beer, food, and different neighborhoods in Atlanta, Yonatan and Ilana moved to Madison, Wisconsin in August 2020 to begin a new adventure. They started the next chapter of their lives together while Yonatan pursued his dream career as a Professor at UW-Madison. While moving across the country in the middle of a global pandemic was not ideal timing, they quickly fell in love with the beauty of their new city. On Wednesday, June 30th, 2021, after almost a year of living in Wisconsin, Yonatan proposed to Ilana in front of the Capitol Building in downtown Madison! They are excited to celebrate their marriage with family and friends on July 10th, 2022 while overlooking the beautiful lakes of Madison!
