It was the summer of 2012, we both just graduated from high school and started an internship at MA’O Organic Farms. We had the same circle of friends, but never talked to each other. I was the shy, nervous type and would ask my friend Gabby to talk to him. One day she told me I just need to build the confidence and talk to him myself. I eventually gained that confidence and we started talking. After a week we made it official and became a couple!

Just another hot summer, and we were getting ready to celebrate Lily Lovelyn’s 1st birthday. I was hot, exhausted, and dehydrated from running around setting up the party and checking in with our guest. I was completely unaware of what was to take place on this special day. We had just finished singing “Happy Birthday” and Isaiah was saying his thank you speech for everyone that helped set up and came out to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. Then, he started talking about me and that’s when he got down on one knee in front of all our friends and family and proposed! I was speechless for a moment, but I said “YES!”
