We recommend arriving by Wednesday, October 22nd to join us for the pre-wedding festivities and to settle in before the big day!
We kindly request that our wedding be an adults-only celebration. While we love our little ones, we hope you’ll take this opportunity to enjoy a night off and celebrate with us!
Late October in Madrid is usually mild and pleasant. Expect daytime temperatures around 60–70°F (15–21°C) and likely cooler evenings.
Our wedding will be a black-tie celebration. We kindly ask gentlemen to wear a tuxedo and ladies to wear a formal gown. Ladies, please also note that we’ll be spending some time on grass, so we suggest comfy shoes or block heels.
Madrid is very walkable, and the Metro is quick and easy for longer distances. Taxis and Ubers are also reliable, and electric scooters or bikes are fun for exploring!
Yes! Two buses will be departing promptly from Puerta de Alcalá to the church at 1:45 PM. Here is a pin for the location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/apdai4jMJGqPyfhs8 Please arrive on time to ensure a smooth and timely departure. After the ceremony, the same buses will take everyone from the church to the wedding venue. For the return trip: - One bus will leave the wedding venue at 1:00 AM for anyone who’d like to head back a bit earlier. - All other buses will leave at 2:45 AM for the rest of the group. - Drop-off location will be the same as the pick-up location — Puerta de Alcalá. Ladies, a quick heads-up: El Escorial is a beautiful historic town with cobblestone streets, and there will be a bit of walking to the church — so we recommend wearing comfortable heels that are easy to walk in.
