Two are better than one... Ecclesiastes 4:9

It was Saturday, August 3., 2019. I (Ikishia) was in LA attending a memorial service for my Aunt. I planned to stay until Sunday, but the flights didn’t look that great so I decided to go home on Saturday. I ordered my Lyft ride and when I went down to meet my driver I met DeAntwan, unbeknowst to me, the love of my life! The drive to the airport only took 18 minutes but the connection we made was magical. DeAntwan’s energy was so great I knew I wanted to get to know him better. When I exited the car DeAntwan mentioned the possobility of us meeting again in Arizona one day and we left it at that. We ended up reconnecting on FaceBook and started chatting, sending Bible scriptures and compling a playlist to express our feelings that now has over 500 songs! Our meeting was not by chance, we give all the credit to God as He knew exaxtly what we both needed in our lives - His gift of true, unconditomal love!!

As our 2 year meeting anniversary approached, we decided to take pictures on the beach. We coordinated our outfits and hit the beach for our photo shoot. Before we started taking pictures DeAntwan suggested we record a video recapping how we met. When we got to the end of the story DeAntwan turned to me and said he thinks I am a very special person and he wants me in his life for the rest of his life. He proceeded to tell me he wrote something to share with me and all I could think was, oh my goodness I didn’t write anything at all! It was at that moment he reached into his pocket and took out a box with the most beautiful ring and asked me if I’d marry him? I reasponded with a resounding, ABSOLUTELY!!
