A Johnson Affair

We met by chance, sparked by a bet that led to an everlasting happiness. A night without expectations blossomed into a life brimming with possibilities and three resounding yeses. Keisha, Cokima’s cousin, has a knack for making friends wherever she goes, and fate intervened this night, introducing her to Ikesha. Cokima was instantly captivated by Ikesha’s beauty, while Ikesha found Cokima’s youthful charm endearing. After exchanging introductions, Cokima inquired about Ikesha’s age, and she playfully replied, “I’m old.” This remark sparked a humorous exchange, leading Cokima to make a bet: “Since you think I’m a youngster, if I’m older than you, I’ll take you out this coming week.” The stakes were high, and we knew who would emerge victorious in this friendly competition. Within a few days, our first date materialized, followed by another a couple of days later. Within a couple of weeks, Cokima took Ikesha on a trip to Mexico, and despite some initial reservations, Ikesha finally gave her second yes. Two weeks later, we found ourselves on the beautiful beaches of Mexico, our bond strengthening with each passing moment. As time progressed and we grew closer, witnessing each other through multiple seasons, it became increasingly evident that we had transcended the boundaries of friendship and were destined to be inseparable. Returning to the place where our journey began, Cokima called Ikesha’s dad, seeking his permission for Ikesha’s hand in marriage. Jackie’s initial response was a hearty “yes,” and we witnessed our family and friends eagerly awaiting the momentous occasion. Ikesha, in a moment of profound significance, gave her third yes, sealing our happiness ever after. After months of meticulous planning, color changes, venue disputes, food tastings, adjustments, and wedding party preparations, we are thrilled to have our family and friends join us on September 27th as we unite in holy matrimony, creating a union with God.
