Is there a dress code?

Answer

While we’ll be celebrating near the beach, our wedding events will not take place on the sand. We kindly ask that guests dress in beach formal attire for the ceremony and reception. Think formal wedding meets tropical evening, dressy and polished but made of breathable fabrics and lighter colors. Both Ceremony and reception will be outside. Recommendations- linen or light weight suits, cocktail or midi-length dresses. We can’t wait to see you looking your best while keeping comfort in mind for our tropical setting.

Are there any colors guest should avoid wearing?

Answer

We kindly ask that you avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride- white, ivories and creams on the wedding day.

Can I bring my children?

Answer

While our wedding ceremony and reception will be adults only, we chose Dreams/Secrets Bahia Mita Resort specifically because it offers both family-friendly and adults-only accommodations. We wanted our guests to have the option to turn this trip into a family vacation if they choose! Children are more than welcome to join in on all the non-wedding activities throughout the weekend. For the ceremony and reception, we kindly ask that arrangements be made for childcare during those events. The resort offers babysitting services, and we’re happy to help coordinate options if needed. We’re so excited to celebrate with you and appreciate your understanding as we create a joyful and relaxed atmosphere for everyone!
