How she knows the bride: Astrid lost the random roommate lottery first year of medical school :( Favorite Memory: Valentine's Day double date with Thomas' grand plan for the ultimately delicious meal that they all cooked together beginning with, "preheat the oven to 800 degrees"

How she knows the bride: Lina and Jacqueline's ~over-achieving~ spirits clicked instantly when they met in medical school Favorite Memory: "My favorite memory of Jacqueline and Thomas is when we decided to do a group Twilight Halloween costume (after I forced Jacqueline and Astrid to watch every single movie with me, of course). Thomas said he wanted to join the Twilight excitement. I assumed he was going to be Jacob, maybe Edward. But it turns out that Thomas had a vision in mind that I could not have possibly imagined. He was going to be Bella and he was going to be fantastic at it. He bought the world’s most luscious, sleek, glistening wig off of Amazon and put on his moodiest flannel. He had every girl that night asking about his haircare routine. Meanwhile, for her starring role as Jacob, Jacqueline cut a pair of jeans into jorts and hand painted an arm tattoo, which was a masterclass in arts and crafts. Despite being #TeamEdward, this was the one and only time where I thought that Bella and Jacob belonged together."

How he knows the groom: Their shared love for food, value proposition, and cross country. How he knows the groom: Jacob is Thomas' long lost brother found at Disney. Favorite Memory: Tommy and I have a longstanding time-honored tradition we developed in 2016. If I happened to be riding shotgun with Thomas in his Toyota Camry in the late evening hours, we would take a short detour from wherever we were going.Approaching our mutual friends’ house, Thomas turns the headlights off, cranks “Private Eyes” by Hall and Oates, idles the car in the middle of the road, and I start a 10 second camera timer while leaning the phone up on the dash. We pose with the mailbox. We hop back in the car after the photo is taken and make our getaway. I cannot for the life of me remember why we started doing this, but I appreciate that Thomas is someone that commits to the tomfoolery, even after 8 years.

How he knows the groom: They shared a twin size bed in college Favorite memory: It all started on that fateful day when Thomas mysteriously left his Costco sized bag of goldfish in our freshman dorm lobby only for me to take it home and for him to eventually wind up in my room later that night... the rest, as they say, is history.

How he knows the groom: Looking for birds in Sweden. Favorite Memory: Thomas and I quickly became friends over our love of food and sense of adventure. After coming back from Sweden, we learned that we both enjoy playing online games. We started to spend hundreds of hours together as we would try different games like Monster Hunter or Risk of Rain 2 or go back to old favorites like Diablo. And even though I may not see Thomas in person all the time, we stay connected online!

How he knows the groom: James was Thomas' freshman orientation coordinator Favorite Memory: My favorite memory I think about a lot is the time we were all studying for exams in the willow common room around the big table. And at one point you had the idea to make a bracket to determine the best Pixar and Disney movies with the winners facing off to be crowned the best Disney/Pixar movie. We spent so much time discussing and debating the merits and flaws of each movie to advance them to the next round. Until finally we had Lion King facing off against Mulan in the final. After another animated round of discussion, we finally declared Lion King the winner. I don’t know how much studying we got done that night but I think we learned a lot about each other and ourselves.

How he knows the groom: Thomas met Sai in Sai's SI lecture, Sai met Thomas on a plane. Favorite memory: My favorite memory of Thomas is when we officially met for the first time on the plane during Thanksgiving 2016. I remember it was the American Airlines flight to New York. We were sitting in the same row, and Thomas took a big left turn and asked “You’re Sai the SI, right?“ I responded, very hesitantly, yes, I am. We just ended up talking for a really long time about how we’re both interested in medicine, but specifically how he was very interested in being a SI, which made me happy, and it ended up being my favorite memory of Thomas. We talked for a really long time, and I was very excited to get to know this guy who potentially wanted be an SI! We kept meeting up in class, at PJs, around the campus, and at every multicultural organization event that both of our groups held. Little did I know that a flight to somewhere would lead to a flight to lifelong friendship. Here’s to many more years, and potentially you asking about all my other jobs that we would totally rock together!
