Like so many modern love stories, ours began on a dating app. What was supposed to be a quick Sunday night drink in downtown Grand Rapids turned into something much more. We met at the Jolly Pumpkin, where Ryan's first thought was, "Am I getting stood up?" since Kelsie was running (just a little) late. But the moment she walked in, that thought quickly changed to, "Wow, I better not mess this up." We each ordered a drink and decided to share truffle fries, simple enough. But hours later, we looked around and realized the restaurant had completely emptied out. We were still talking, laughing, and forgetting all about the time. What started as "just a drink" became the first of many nights we didn't want to end.
