We attended college at UW-Stevens Point together. We happened to hang out in the same crowd but never thought much of it. We saw each other often and eventually started talking. Neither of us were looking for a relationship at the time, but that's how the best ones happen, right?

Gathered with our closest family and friends during our annual Memorial Day "Murica-fest" party is when Andy chose to pop the question. He knew how important and meaningful having our loved ones surrounding us during this special moment would be. Every year we start "Murica-fest" with an opening ceremony. This involves the national anthem and a beer chug salute. The music changed from the national anthem to "This Is It" by Scotty McCreery and a banner opened that said "Will You Marry Me?". Andy got down on one knee and asked the most important question he ever asked and of course she said "YES!" (but thought it's about time).
