Shenandoah National Park (Skyline Drive/Blue Ridge Parkway)
We have taken our dog Macee here and she loves the trails. In this area there is also a lot of wineries and breweries. Blue Ridge Mountain always has good food, cold beer, and great views.
Virginia Beach
This is a good day trip if you are looking to get on the beach. There are a ton of great restaurants around 15th-30th street. The orange crush is a must try.
Williamsburg, VA (Busch Gardens, Water Country USA, History)
There is a ton to do in Williamsburg and you can easily spend an entire day here. New Kent Wine Trip
Virginia is for lovers, and wine. Virginia has no shortage of wineries. These 3 are close to each other and some of our favorites. We've had many picnics at these wineries. Scott's Addition Historic District (Beer Tour)
Richmond has a really great craft beer scene. Scott's addition has a ton of breweries. We recommend trying a couple of them.
Short Pump Town Center (Shopping)
Shop til you drop. Short pump is the best shopping area in Virginia, its an outside mall with a ton of food and entertainment. We went on our first date in Short Pump.
