Shannon and Nick met at a Harper College party. Shannon noticed Nick glancing over at her so she decided to introduce herself and asked Nick to be her beer pong partner. Nick said yes and they got to talking. By the end of the night, Nick asked Shannon for her phone number and the rest is history!

On a Friday evening, Nick took Shannon out to dinner at Artengo Bar & Steakhouse. They enjoyed a nice dinner while listening to jazz music. After dinner, Nick told Shannon he had reservations at a speakeasy, but little did she know, Nick was planning to propose. Nick and Shannon walked over to Giddings Plaza in Lincoln Square and Nick professed his love to Shannon. He then got down on one knee and asked Shannon to spend the rest of her life with him. With tears in her eyes, Shannon responded with “I can’t even see the ring, but YES!!” Nicks brother, Chuymia and Shannon’s sister, Stephanie, surprised Shannon with roses and let her know there were friends and family waiting for them to celebrate at home. Then they spent the rest of the night popping champagne and karaoking Faithfully by Journey at a their favorite dive bar, Sidekicks.
