Iggy is one of my oldest friends, I met her in primary school and frankly I hated her guts! It gives me so much pleasure 😁 to experience what true love ❤️ and friendship looks like and that would be with Iganya and Eleojo. 🥰 Iggy has been my sister for as long as I can remember. It was always fun for us as children when we met at weddings or spent holidays with each other. Even as adults, we grew closer and not just sisters, prayer partners and best friends. Till date, it is always an amazing moment when we all meet. When Iggy introduced me to her now fiancé (then boyfriend) in Norwich, we went out for breakfast and me being my playful chatty self, I just threw a little joke and Ele got it and his response was the kind of response one of our brothers would give and we all laughed 🤣 and I said, “welcome to the family”. In that moment, he sounded like one of us already I knew Iganya had found her person, her man and a best friend. Definitely, I’m off the roof with excitement because I know Ele is everything Iganya ever prayed and hoped for and I have come to see that through his genuine love for God, maturity, hard work and his undying love for my sister, Iganya. Of course, I want nothing but the absolute best and happiness of my sister. My prayer for you both is that, “the unending love and faithfulness of God, would be round and about them and his presence will always be with them. It's a privileged blessing that I get to play a pivotal role in this beautiful story. Having known Ele my entire life, he's more than just a cousin to me; he's been a constant companion, a dear friend, and a brother. Iganya came into my life in January 2004. From those early days of secondary school and beyond, she has grown into an inseparable friend, a beacon of joy (just like her name) and support. My now favorite memory, which feels both like yesterday and a lifetime ago, is set on June 18, 2020. Amidst the quiet chaos of the COVID-19 pandemic and the deep pain of both of us losing a loved one, a plan was set into motion. I found an opportunity to bridge two hearts! I spoke to Ele and Iganya separately, and suggested they will be a great fit for each other. Little did I know those separate conversations would be the beginning of a journey leading us to this moment. To witness two of my favorite people come together in marriage is a joy beyond words. It's a testament to the unpredictable beauty of life, the strength of connections, and the serendipitous moments that shape our destinies. Ele and Iganya, as you start a new life together, my heart is filled with best wishes for you both. James is my blood and brother. We met in Swansea, although it’s been about 12 years since we met, i’ve known him before time. We’ll always be family. James and I lived together for 2 straight years before leaving Swansea, and it was a great time. James carries a peace that kept the house together. During that time, we pastored together. James is a teacher and great example of a true man of God. As James and I looked for a house, he found a house and chose the smaller room before I had the chance to prove that I was as righteous. James is wise, God kind of wise, he made decisions that informed my faith. He gave himself wholly to things we learnt, so much so that everyone learnt to follow his lead without a word. At the same time, James is everyone’s friend— ‘all sorts of friends’. 39 King Edward’s, 22 Bry-y-mor Cresent, Mount Pleasant, Toby’s Cavern and many more, Brynmill Community Centre, Cosmo, Bueno, J & F, Singleton Park and now that you are Bae. Library nights, vigils at Dimma’s , All my memories have you on them my beloved brother. You gave yourself to right courses and they owe you. James loves whole heartedly, and is full of understanding. These are ingredients for a great husband. God has indeed rewarded him with a great woman and I can only pray for the best for my brother. When I reflect about my relationship with James and how we started, I always come to a conclusion that it was God that truly brought us together. In a time when there was a revival in the church, Both I and James had opposing views about life and this made us completely incompatible. But with time and the transformative work of God in our lives, we drew close to one another to the point that one would think we were brother. A relationship once characterized with pride, then became one with love, patience and sacrifice. Ok this is quite nostalgic. I met James during Bar1 registration at the Nigerian Law School. Specifically at the point when I was told I needed a roommate before allocation. I remember the Housing Officer asking me '...and who is your partner' ? I looked at him confused, realising I am at another wits-end moment which has happened consistently throughout the registration process. Anyway, I looked up in frustration and just as I was about to express my disappointment at the poor organisation for the umpteenth time that day, I saw this lanky dude in glasses standing next to me. Solution ! 'Do you have a partner ?' I asked him, 'No' was his reply and that was it. Everything just went smoothly from then on. We became friends and later brothers. I had to adopt his parents, they are the kindest and sweetest people I know. James is a special dude. A man who loves the Lord and is loved by God. When he told be about Iganya, I said 'I like the name, its very unique', he affirmed. From the way he spoke about her, I could tell immediately that he's found the one. When he showed me her picture and I saw her beautiful smile, I thought, the rest can only be bliss for this two awesome people from hereon. So, I wish you guys love, good health and happiness.
