Barak and Ife's first date was at the Brooklyn Museum in December 2015. Ife immediately loved Barak's playful, young-at-heart attitude, and how dedicated he was to his work caring for others. Barak loved Ife's worldliness, intelligence, inner strength, and beauty. They would spend the next two years getting to know each other, Ife supporting Barak through the challenging days of residency and Barak reciprocating with home-cooked meals, flowers, and pancakes. They gradually fell in love becoming each other's confidantes and champions. They would have many adventures together, from long trips on the 2/3 train to road trips in the Pacific Northwest. Barak proposed to Ife in September 2017 at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden shortly after they moved into their home in Crown Heights. They can't wait to celebrate their wedding with all of their closest friends and family. Ife and Barak look forward to a lifetime of adventures together.
