Kristian and Savannah met when they were just 15 and 16. Things moved quick, but Savannah shut things down... Little did she know that they would come back to each other in November of 2016. They initially met because Savannah was close with Kristian's Kolar side of the family before they had even met each other. Through some scheming on his Aunt Jenn's part, they hit things off and have been together ever since!

The weekend before the proposal, Savannah had been drilling Kristian for information. He was deflecting and trying to get her mind off of the potential engagement. Fast forward to the next weekend, Kristian had planned a date day for the two of them. Savannah got to pick where to go for brunch, which was ironically where Kristian had asked Savannah to be his girlfriend 5 1/2 years earlier! Kristian was extremely calm during brunch, so Savannah thought that nothing was happening. They headed straight to the sunflower field from Berardi's, and when they arrived, Kristian grabbed his camera bag out of his trunk and they headed in. As they walked through the field, Kristian started to snap some pictures. They got pretty far out in the field when Kristian said that he had a "happy" for Savannah. (that's what they call presents for each other!) Next thing you know, Kristian is down on one knee! Both of their parents came to the sunflower field afterwards to celebrate!
