Like most romantic fairytales today, we met on Hinge. After a full two weeks of chatting (mainly bonding over the show, Letterkenny), we finally went on our first date. Our first date was not like most tales however. We started at a beerhall, walked through an art museum, decided to walk downtown to Kid Rock's Honky Tonk, and end the night at Ms. Kelli's Karaoke Bar. After such a marathon, we decided that we were enamored with each other and have stuck by each other ever since.

Back in Kelsey's hometown, Richmond, she was in a rare mood and decided to come along on a walk to a local record store in 95 degree heat and humidity with Justin and Kelsey's sister, Amanda, and brother-in-law, Sunjay. On the way back from the store, Justin wanted to stop by a local park with an overlook of the city while secretly getting Amanda's cooperation. When we all arrived at the park, a local news crew was there in the spot! Justin panicked to Amanda and had to quickly pivot to a slightly different location in the park. Amanda nonchalantly asked if we wanted to take some pics. As we were taking the pictures, Kelsey felt Justin fumbling in his pocket and he started lowering to one knee. She yelled, "ARE YOU SERIOUS? ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW?". He was, in fact, serious.
