When should I RSVP by?

Answer

As soon as possible. August 15th deadline.

Where should I fly into?

Answer

Myrtle Beach, SC (MYR) and Wilmington, NC (ILM) are just under an hour drive to The Beach House. We recommend flying into one of these airports and getting a rental car to drive to the house.

Question

When should I book my flight?

Answer

Booking your flights as soon as possible will likely provide the cheapest rates given the current condition of the airline industry. On average, roundtrip tickets were about $150 per person as of July 15th.

Where should I rent a car from?

Answer

Whenever we rent cars, we use AutoSlash.com to find the best rates. The site searches all over (including Priceline and Expedia) for the best rates. You will get an email with the results so you can book it.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Nope. Everyone invited to the wedding ceremony has a bed in The Beach House. We would love to have everyone together for the entire weekend. For more information on The Beach House, please visit the "Venue & Travel" page.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

No. Because of the limited number of beds and space available in the rental house, no additional guests are factored in unless specified on the invitation.

How much does The Beach House cost to stay in and what is included?

Answer

We are asking our guests to contribute $100 per person, per night for the extent of their stay. This expense covers lodging, all meals, snacks, and liquor at The Beach House. Please ask your bride or groom if you have any questions about this. Please visit the “Payment” page to view details on the cost of your stay with us and the best way to send payment. Thank you!

Do I have to come for all five nights?

Answer

No. You are welcome to come for as long as you feel comfortable. We would absolutely love to have you stay with us all 5 nights, but completely understand if that does not fit into your schedule. Please let us know in your RSVP what days you will be staying at the house for food preparation and lodging accommodations.

Will food be provided?

Answer

Kayla's Bridesman, Anthony Shook, has graciously offered his private chef's services for the weekend. Chef Stephen and his staff will be coordinating and preparing all meals for the time we have The Beach House.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Yes. Please let Kayla know in your RSVP.

Will alcohol be provided?

Answer

We are stocking the outdoor bar with our favorite liquors (listed below), soft drinks, and bottled water. Please feel free to bring any other liquor, beer, wine, seltzer, etc. if you would prefer something else. Vodka: Titos & Grey Goose Whiskey: Jim Beam Tequila: 1800 Silver Also, wine will be provided for the reception dinner on Saturday night only.

Where should I pick up liquor if I want something other than what is stocked in the bar?

Answer

If you are stopping to get another type of liquor in North Carolina, you will need to go to one of the state-operated "ABC Liquor" stores since this is the only place that sells liquor in the state. South Carolina is much cheaper and relaxed on liquor laws. If you are flying into Myrtle Beach, we would recommend stopping for alcohol before crossing the state line into North Carolina.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for the wedding ceremony and reception is semi-formal. There will be a Halloween party and there is a heated pool at the house so don't forget to pack your costume and swimsuit!

What is the weather like in Ocean Isle Beach in October?

Answer

According to the historical average, the high should be around 73 degrees and the low around 50 degrees.

I want to celebrate with you, but I don't think I can make it to North Carolina for the wedding. Are you doing any other celebrations?

Answer

We completely understand. Times are crazy right now. We will be live streaming the ceremony for everyone who is unable to be there in person. We will be planning larger Celebration of Marriage receptions in Michigan and New Jersey when COVID winds down so we can invite all of our loved ones to celebrate with us.
