Meet the wedding crew!

Jillian (JillBill) Tkach

Maid of Honor

Jen's taller & craftier, younger sister. The rumors are true, we do have a criminal history together... but that's a story you'll have to wait to hear at the bar. I’ve bossed Jill around since the day she was born & she (mostly) listened until the age of 7. Back then you could find us together singing the Mamma Mia soundtrack, on the playground at our older brother, Brian's baseball games, or consumed by an intense game of capture the flag in our front yard. Today, we spend time together at Michael’s Arts & Crafts Store, chasing after puppies at the dog park, or jumping waves at the beach (Biggie)! Jill is my little monster by blood and best friend by choice. She is fiercely dedicated to me and will stop at nothing to fill me with delight…. especially when it involves dessert.

Reza Farid

Best Man

Reza is my older brother. Our bond is deeply rooted in love for European-made cars (okay, BMWs) and hookah. Reza is dedicated to making others happy and he has enough brotherly advice to fill the depths of Lake Tahoe. I have always been able to count on him, whether he’s saving me from drowning (twice) or taking Jager bombs out of my hand at the bar. Reza almost ALWAYS gets voted off the island at family dinner, but that’s only because he’s so passionate and protective of his family. Reza is the most generous guy you will ever meet and I’m lucky to have him as my big brother and best man (who’s cutting onions?)!

Jess Talaugon (Little Jess)

Bridesmaid

The D.Fish to my Kobe -- Jess is my competitive other half and together the two of us will kick your butt at EVERYTHING. Try us. We met while napping next to one another in all-day kindergarten at Simonds. Since then, Jesse’s family adopted me every summer as we traveled all over Northern California winning softball tournaments. Our friendship has thrived despite the many miles between us (we attended different colleges and now live in different cities), and our bond remains inseparable, thanks in no small part to our shared love of Derek Jeter and Kobe Bryant. So yeah... we proudly support two of the winningest organizations in sports...go ahead and enter your “bandwagon” remarks in the comments box below -- we don't mind a bit!

Chris Planow

Groomsman

I met CP in line at Taco Bell. Just kidding… we met at the bar… okay barbell. We met at the gym. We pretend to lift heavy stuff together at Crossfit and we are experts at making any simple workout into a less rigorous partner workout. I guess you can call him my Gym Boyfriend. CP has been a loyal Bash Brother since the day we met, and when we’re not “working out,” you can find us sharing a candle-lit dinner in our reserved booth for two at Taco Bell.

Michele "Mitch" Schenone

Bridesmaid

When Mitch & I met in 4th grade, we immediately swore each other to secrecy about the disgusting diagnosis we had just received. We had both acquired head lice and became instant best friends in the nurse’s office. I proceeded to rename my new bestie “Mitch,” because one simply can’t yell two-syllable names when one needs the ball in front of the net on the soccer field! Needless to say, it stuck. After years of playing soccer, traveling the world, and eating lots of pizza together, we can now be found sipping champagne on the couch, finishing one another’s sentences, and eating even more pizza. Mitch and I are often mistaken for sisters and we’re constantly asked to stop talking so much. #sorrynotsorry. I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Aria Shahmirzadi

Groomsman

Aria and I met the day he was born, which was five days after me. We grew up like brothers and did everything together as kids. Some of our favorite pastimes include: pranking our sisters, getting hecka air on sweet BMX bike jumps, eating it on the mountain, and farting. Not much has changed since then and we still do ALL of those things together today.

Jessica Kolte

Bridesmaid

I met Jess on the soccer field when we were Almaden Ladybugs. We were just 8 years old but we quickly recognized that we were both the real deal. We continued to grow our bond throughout high school and while running through the hills of Quicksilver back home in San Jose. If you ever get lost out there, don’t worry, we’ve got that hill memorized -- just ask Little Jess! Jessica & I both share a love for thought-provoking movies (yes, we have a list), Jeopardy! marathons and, most importantly, crappy beach reads. I’m so lucky Jess now lives in Sacramento so she can help me with wedding planning and allow me to kick her butt on the spin bike every Monday!

Rob Cima

Groomsman

“Where is Rob?” you ask. He’s probably at the bar buying you 3 shots of Rumplemintz right now. That’s actually how we met, going toe-to-toe at the bar. And neither of us remember that night, but luckily we have our friends to tell us the tale. It’s always an adventure when I’m with Rob, whether he’s leading us into Desolation Wilderness, bar hopping around downtown or he’s losing to me in Beerio Kart! He’s always up for a fun time and we’ve shared PLENTY together over the years!

Elyce Gunsch

Bridesmaid

Elyce and I met in 2013 at a Crossfit competition that our boyfriends, who Crossfit together, dragged us to. Elyce already married her Crossfitter, Steve -- you’ll see him over there on the groom’s side. One of the nicest people you will ever meet, Elyce became my first Sacramento friend! Elyce and I like to work out together -- and by work out I mean: run ONE lap, lay down for abs and never actually complete any crunches, then go get brunch instead! You can find Elyce and I either wrangling the pesky group of Crossfit guys at the bars or getting down on the dance floor together. She is currently on a mission to make me a yogi, even though she knows that I only go for the savasana. Namaste.

Steve Gunsch

Groomsman

Look for Steve on the dance floor at the wedding; he’ll be that tall guy screwing in lightbulbs! Steve and I also met at Crossfit. He’s much bigger and stronger than me, but I still beat him in most workouts. I once saved his life from a group of bullies just to prove it to him! Much like a sloth, Steve will creep his way into your heart and stay there for a very long time. He’s married to Jen’s Bridesmaid, Elyce, and together they have earned the prestigious designation as KabobFit’s #1 customer! We’re so lucky to have such supportive (and hungry) friends!

Anita "Tree" Farid

Bridesmaid

A few years ago we started calling Anita “Tree;” we don’t really remember why we gave her that nickname, but she’s stuck with it now! She is Idean’s younger sister and also self-identifies as my adopted younger sister (I’m just that lucky). In fact, this is an ongoing battle between Anita and Jill. From the second we met, Anita and I became very close (hence the sister thing) and we do a really good job of annoying Idean together. Anita is such a giving person and will literally drop everything to do her family a favor, including driving downtown in the middle of the night to collect her drunk siblings! We are so grateful to have her in our lives and our wedding!

Brian Tkach

Groomsman

Brian is Jen’s just-as-competitive older brother. Brian has challenged me to any and every game over the course of the last 10 years -- spikeball, pool volleyball, backyard croquet -- you name it. He was even pretty cool about me breaking his wife’s toe the last time we played soccer in their front yard. Brian is always treating me to a fresh batch of veggies from his garden or a dose of his homemade hard cider. In return, I taught him how to grow a manbun and now my mom likes his better than mine.

Ida Dharnidharka

Bridesmaid

Ida is Idean’s older sister and my personal fashion consultant. She makes a mean Kraft mac & cheese, always has an extra pack of fruit snacks in her purse for me, and has dance moves as wicked as her mom jokes. Idean and Ida are quick to come up with a “loving” nickname for someone together or pull a prank on their siblings -- Sorry Connie Chung! We love that Ida can swiftly have you “voted off the island” without batting an eye, but she will always invite you back to the party next time around (if you’re unsure of the meaning behind this… consider yourself lucky)! We are very fortunate to have Ida setting such a great example of this whole getting married and starting a family thing!

Rajiv Dharnidharka

Groomsman

Rajiv is my brother-in-law. He’s really good at giving legal advice but even better at ganging up on my siblings with me. I’m really glad my sister met Rajiv; without him, we wouldn’t have Sajj & Delilah… or courtside Kings tickets. Rajiv loves to tell people about the time he took me skiing and left me stranded at the top of the mountain. He claims that even a team of 5-year-old girls managed to beat me down that hill. Jury’s still out.

Crystal Adams

Wedding Officiant/Bridesmaid

Crystal was my first friend ever. We grew up rolling around town in the back of the blue van, jamming out to Backstreet Boys & Spice Girls at daycare. We played house, chased the boys, twirled around living rooms, shared tea parties, played dress up & staged make-believe weddings more times than I can remember. Naturally, we both wanted to be the bride, so we took turns being the "groom." (Just kidding, I was really bossy back then so she always had to be the groom!) It is only fitting now, that on my real wedding day, Crystal will be by my side. I promise not to pinch you while we're up there! Crystal, thank you for agreeing to stand up for me and Idean. I am truly grateful for the bond you and I have shared over the years -- and will continue to grow.

Jessie Herrera

Groomsman

Here’s everything you need to know about Jessie: one night, five years ago, Jessie broke into my parents’ house at 3 in the morning, looking for a bathroom. No, really. He has been indebted to my Mom ever since -- for scaring the sh*t out of her and waking the entire house… except me. I may have been in a VERY deep sleep due to the amount of tequila the two of us consumed earlier that night. He will never live that down, but he’s also never stopped showing up for me. Jessie will drop everything to support me and Jen and I’m grateful to have such a loyal friend.

Ali Managhebi

Persian Officiant

Ali is Idean’s older cousin. He’s our downtown hotspot tour guide, post-game drinks date and co-ed soccer teammate. Ali is responsible for introducing us to all of his old stomping grounds around Sac, and were grateful to be related to the guy who knows every bartender in town. We’re honored to have him marry us!
