On Sunday December 1, 2019, William “Big Willie” Jackson headed to EverBank stadium to watch his favorite team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers play the Jacksonville Jaguars. The previous year, he saw a stunningly beautiful woman managing the shuttle service he would use to get to the game and attempted to make small talk, but she was too busy to entertain him. This time would be different. As he approached the booth to purchase his shuttle ticket, his anxiety kicked in as he noticed she was on duty, no lines, no wait. It was now or never, he thought as he approached her. Oh my God! You are still here, he exclaimed. She looked at him and said, “do I know you?” He said, “the last time I was here, I told you, I was going to marry you, you are going to be my wife and I meant that.” “Uh, sir I do not even know your name,” she replied. It is Big Willie baby! Nah, I do not remember you, however, I see you have your phone out and you may take my number, my name is Ida by the way. With his chest puffed and a big grin on his face, he walked away. The Buccaneers beat the Jaguars that night and Big Willie called Ida. And he has been grinning ever since.
