I smile writing this as I reflect on our journey that led us to this very moment and all I feel is an overwhelming sense of gratitude to life and to God. Ima and I met virtually in 2014 through a mutual friend after a game of ‘pick one’ from a set of photographs our friend had shared with him. After being introduced, we spent hours everyday on the phone and our conversations were so effortless. During our conversations, we connected on similar interests including my new love for photography and at that time Ima was doing a Masters in photography in New York and was taking his art very seriously.... it was the perfect foundation for us as we challenged each other constantly. 3 months after we started talking, we met for the first time in person over the Christmas holiday in Lagos and I was so moved by Ima’s warmth and kind nature. He had also gotten me some photography books to enable me hone my skills (this is our relationship in a nutshell lol). 3 years later, a handful of visits to beautiful locations and multiple relocations, We got engaged and we cannot wait to celebrate our love with all of our favourite people.
