Question

How do I know if I can bring a date/plus one?

Answer

While we wish everyone could bring a date, we unfortunately could not accommodate this for all of our guests. If your save the date and invitation says “& Guest,” then yes, you may bring a date. If not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids, but we want our wedding to be your night off! So, we recommend getting a babysitter for the night.

Question

What is the attire for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The event will be semiformal. For the ladies, a cocktail dress or a long, dressy skirt and top would be perfect. For the guys, throw on a suit or blazer; ties are optional. Please, no jeans.

Question

Is there transportation provided for the guests to the ceremony or to the reception?

Answer

Unfortunately, transportation to and from event locations will only be provided for the bridal party. Complimentary parking is available at both the ceremony and reception venue. Uber or Lyft are also great options.

Question

Is parking available?

Answer

Parking is available at St. Ita in the parking lot next to the church. Metered street parking is also available. Cars parked in the church parking lot must be moved immediately following the ceremony. Complimentary parking is available at Ravenswood Event Center. No overnight parking is allowed.

Question

Where do I sit at the wedding?

Answer

St. Ita is a large and incredibly beautiful church. We highly recommend sitting near the front of the church to best hear and see the ceremony.

Question

What should/could I do between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

There's always something to do in Chicago! Please visit the "Things to Do" page for suggestions on things to do between the ceremony and the reception.

Question

What time will the reception end?

Answer

The reception is scheduled to end at 12am. We will be continuing the celebration at a nearby bar for those of you that are up for it!
