As all great love stories start, ours started on a dating app, "Hinge". In all honestly, neither of us remember who approached who first, or what was even said in that first conversation, but we somehow made our way to one of Ethan's favorite quick eateries, Longboards. Picture it: April 2019, Mission Kansas. Maggie orders a rice bowl, Ethan orders a wrap. Ethan pays. They sit together and start talking about their interests. Maggie notices that Ethan appears anxious, his leg is constantly bouncing--she calls him out on it; he relaxes. A simple 30 minute lunch actually becomes a near three hour date, where they walk around the streets and window shop at a game store. It's still a little chilly in the midwest for April, and Ethan sees that Maggie is shivering. He offers her his grandpa cardigan, but she refuses because she's an independent woman who don't need no man. They part ways. Little did she know, Maggie may be independent, but she needed Ethan.
