Can you believe it? We’re finally getting married!

Kurt and I first met on a Friday night in November at an Irish dive bar in 2011. I first caught Kurt’s eye near the dance floor. He later approached me at the bar where he charmed me enough to give him my real name. We got to know each other through our shared love of anime, superheroes and music. Unfortunately not too long after meeting, we had to go our separate ways to pursue educational goals in different parts of the country. Though we might have had hundreds of miles between us, we never forgot each other and kept in touch sporadically throughout the years. After the craziness of graduate school, we both settled in different places to pursue our careers but reconnected through Facebook, texts, and phone calls. This went on for months before finally reconnecting in person to celebrate love at a friend’s wedding. 7 years later, here we are taking the next big step together with all of our loved ones surrounding us!
