Before their first date, both Isaiah and Lauricenia were content with where God had placed them in life. Isaiah was attending M-State, learning how to fix things, while working part-time at Legacy Plumbing and Heating as an apprentice. Meanwhile, Lauricenia was busy pursuing her Computer Science degree at Concordia College. Both were growing more involved at Summit Church and finding new ways to serve. Single life was good for both of them—but God had something even better planned. In the summer of 2024, Isaiah found himself around Lauricenia quite often, though they barely spoke at first. Although the two weren’t talking much, their friends certainly were—and everyone wanted them to go out. Eventually (thankfully), Isaiah asked for Lauricenia’s phone number, and not long after, they went on their first date. They were both incredibly nervous—so nervous that they struggled to finish their food because of the butterflies. Lauricenia found Isaiah charming and was especially impressed by his intentionality and love for the Lord. Isaiah, meanwhile, was grinning from ear to ear the entire time. He quickly fell for Lauricenia, captivated by her kind and gentle heart and the way she loves those closest to her. From that day on, they’ve been pretty much inseparable. Deep down, from the very first date, they both sensed this was something special—something meant to last. That doesn’t mean the journey has been without challenges. Between busy schedules, different personalities, cultures, and homes, they’ve learned to navigate those differences together, growing stronger along the way. Most importantly, Isaiah and Lauricenia have grown together in their faith. As they’ve drawn closer to the Lord, they’ve drawn closer to each other—learning daily to extend grace, love sacrificially, and point one another back to the cross. They are incredibly excited and grateful to celebrate their marriage in the presence of God, surrounded by the family and community who have supported, encouraged, and loved them throughout their journey.

Antes do primeiro encontro, tanto Isaiah como Lauricenia estavam satisfeitos com o lugar onde Deus os tinha colocado na vida. Isaiah frequentava a M-State, onde aprendia a arranjar e reparar coisas, enquanto trabalhava em part-time na Legacy Plumbing and Heating como aprendiz. Entretanto, Lauricenia dedicava-se aos seus estudos em Engenharia Informática no Concordia College. Ambos estavam também cada vez mais envolvidos na Summit Church, procurando novas formas de servir. A vida de solteiros era boa para os dois — mas Deus tinha algo ainda melhor preparado. No verão de 2024, Isaiah começou a estar com Lauricenia com alguma frequência, embora quase não falassem no início. Apesar de eles próprios conversarem pouco, os amigos não paravam — e todos queriam que os dois saíssem juntos. Eventualmente (e felizmente), Isaiah pediu o número de Lauricenia e, pouco tempo depois, tiveram o primeiro encontro. Os dois estavam extremamente nervosos — tão nervosos que mal conseguiram terminar a refeição, por causa das borboletas no estômago. Lauricenia achou Isaiah encantador e ficou particularmente impressionada com a sua intencionalidade e o seu amor pelo Senhor. Isaiah, por sua vez, passou o encontro inteiro com um sorriso de orelha a orelha. Rapidamente se apaixonou por Lauricenia, tocado pelo seu coração bondoso e gentil e pela forma como ama profundamente aqueles que lhe são próximos. Desde esse dia, tornaram-se praticamente inseparáveis. No fundo, desde o primeiro encontro, ambos sentiram que havia ali algo especial — algo feito para durar. Isso não significa que o caminho tenha sido isento de desafios. Entre agendas preenchidas, personalidades diferentes, culturas distintas e lares diferentes, aprenderam a navegar essas diferenças juntos, fortalecendo a relação ao longo do percurso. Mais importante ainda, Isaiah e Lauricenia cresceram juntos na fé. À medida que se aproximaram mais do Senhor, aproximaram-se também um do outro, aprendendo diariamente a estender a graça, a amar de forma sacrificial e a apontar um ao outro para a cruz. Estão profundamente felizes e gratos por poderem celebrar o seu matrimónio na presença de Deus, rodeados pela família e pela comunidade que os apoiaram, encorajaram e amaram ao longo de toda esta jornada.
